PRINCE2® Foundation

PRINCE2® (PRrojects In Controlled Environments) is a highly regarded and broadly accepted qualification. PRINCE2® is a best practice project management method covering the organisation, management and control of projects. It is widely used in the public and private sectors and has become the de facto standard for project management.

Course content:

The course will enable you to understand and use the principles of PRINCE2® to manage projects and to act as an informed member of a project management team.

It includes the following:

  • PRINCE2® overview and processes
  • Projects and project management
  • Project organisations
  • Change control and management of risk
  • Project plans and controls
  • Quality in the project environment
  • The business case
  • Configuration management

Assessment:

Through the successful completion of a 1 hour multiple choice exam.

Is it for me?

This is a Foundation level qualification that is ideal for all project managers, strategic managers and team leaders who are supporting projects. Managers from all sectors involved in contracting have found it particularly useful. It is an intensive course that requires 10 hours pre-course reading.
